The task was to relocate a renowned global shipping company from one end of Copenhagen to another. Our mission was to create a unique and agile office space by taking inspiration from the company’s core values and its constant movement off shore. We extracted and distilled some of the main requirements, procedures and functions to create a balanced, welcoming working environment with a new but familiar brand feeling. This was achieved by using the origins of the company in our concept as a foundation throughout the workspace to honour the history, background and core of the company. We focused on creating a large variety of different types of meeting areas to cater to the different functions and needs of a modern company as this was in high demand from the client. This resulted in quick meeting points, quiet rooms, break out areas, collaboration zones and café settings in order to evolve from the conventional and out-dated ways of working. Another aspect of the task was to reuse and integrate almost 55% of the existing inventory into the new interior design. It was important for the client to ensure that the relocation would be executed in the most sustainable and cost effective way possible.
